The prepare for my acoustic portrait 1.

I have chosen two places for my acoustic portrait task. Starbucks and Brighton Pier, I will chose a better one as my final project. 

Because of the weather, I just do a practice recording in the Starbucks today. I use Sony Stereo ECM Handheld Mic, Zoom H1 Hand-held Recorder and Marantz PMD-661 to help me to record. Compared to Zoom H1 Hand-held Recorder and Marantz PMD-661, I found that Zoom H1 Hand-held Recorder is more suitable to my recording, because the range of sound recording of Zoom H1 Hand-held Recorder is more wide, and the sound is clearer than Marantz PMD-661. 

In this soundscape, I would like to show a relax, and comfortable atmosphere in a coffee shop. I recorded the sound pf footstep, the background music in Starbucks, the process of making a cup of coffee, the conversation between waiter and customers, and  people are talking, laughing and baby crying. I want to try my best to revivification the scene in the Starbucks through these sound. In this soundscape, I will add some effect to make all the sound mix together, simultaneous presentation of multiple portions of a single audio recording is one of the key ideas of my project.
