I went to the Brighton Pier for my acoustic portrait as well. In this soundscape, I walk through in the game center, and recorded the sound. Such as game machines, coin slot, and the sound of click on the button. Because people are laughing and speaking loudly, so the game center is very noise. I have chosen Brighton Pier as the site of my recording is because that it can show an lightheartedness ambience, moreover, it can shown the diversity of sound in the game center. The diversity of sound can produce Multiple Tracks, and make people feel more reality .
In this soundscape, the recording equipment is Zoom H1 Hand-held Recorder, the recording range is wider and clearly. Anyway, it is suitable for my soundscape.
However, the process of making a soundscape is not very successfully, because the a staff didn't allowed us to recording in the game center. So I need to recorded carefully. Moreover, the game center is too noise, some slimly sound couldn't be recorded clearly. However, I will try to denoise or use some effect to remedy this problem in the post production.
In this soundscape, I prefer the sound of a monologue at the beginning of a game machine. The mood of the monologue is dramatic, and it can make people feel tension. I will add it in my final soundscape.
