The editing of my soundscape.

Finally, I decided to choose Brighton Pier as the site of my final soundscape. I use Audition CS6 as the software to edit my soundscape.

In this soundscape, I have used Zoom H1 Hand-held Recorder with the Sony Stereo ECM Handheld Mic. I choose them because they can make the recording range wider and make the sound clearly. Moreover, it is portable. In this soundscape, it can show the diversity of the sound, and different sound can show the different emotions.

During the editing of my soundscape, I am attempting to learn new skills. Such as use some effect and reduce noise.  I mainly used three kinds of effects. Firstly, I used 'Multiband Compoessor'. I have searched some information about this effect.

''Multiband compression divides the frequency spectrum into different sections, or bands, so that each has its own unique compression settings. This allows a longer attack time for the low band of that bass drum to punch through, while keeping a shorter attack time in a higher band to keep the guitar in check. By using a multiband compressor, it is possible to closely tailor the compression to the different elements in a mix and compress the recording more transparently than with a standard single-band compressor.

Most multiband compressors feature either 3 or 4 different bands. Since the crossover frequencies define the range of frequencies contained in each band, getting them right can have a big impact on the effectiveness of the compression. Many multiband compressors have a solo function to focus on one band at a time — this can be very helpful when setting the crossover frequencies by revealing exactly what each band contains. Additionally, soloing individual bands can be helpful when setting attack and release times to make sure the transients in each band are shaped as desired''.

Because the theme of my soundscape is about game center, so the sound is real and nature. Therefore,  many dramatic is not suitable for my soundscape.
Secondly, I used Automatic Phase Correction. I used this effect to adjust L/R channel, in order tom make the sound more real.
Thirdly, I used Parametic Equalizer. A parametric equalizer can vary the bandwidth or range of control by making its affect wider or more narrow depending on needs or personal tastes.
