The process of interviewing.

Through the reading which is on the study direct, I have learnt some skills about doing an interview.

It is a good practice to say which subject areas you want to cover and which you don't.  In other words, I have the right and the obligation to say what I meant. When doing an interview, reduce pressure is very important. interviewer set the tone for the interview; if you are formal or uptight, your interviewee will be more so. Before the interview, prepare a list of questions short enough to go on an index card,  I can always glance down if my mind goes blank. Avoid asking closed questions in an interview, tries to fulfill the requirement, and this leads to acting rather than being. Before an interview, work on the way my questions are phrased to make them direct and specific. Read each questions aloud and listen to whether the sounds direct and natural. Focused questions is also very important, make questions specific and take one issue at a time. During the interview, maintain eye contact and give behavior feedback  can show the respect to interviewee. Moreover, we should aim to elicit feeling in an interview, know what I want, use simple, conversational language; and deal with one issue at a time. Ask for the specific and ask for a story is a skill for an interview. If we want to edit out the interviewer's voice, we need to prepare interviewees by telling them that they must include the information in our questions in their answers.

According to the reading, the secret to good interviewing is to really listen and to press always for specifics and examples. Such as ''How?,'' ''Why was right?,'' and '' How did that make you feel?, '' are the key s that unlock the sentient human and being from the stoic observer. Ask for a briefer version of any events for which you only need a summary. During the interview, a gentle '' And,'' or simply'' Yes, go on'' signals that you know there is more and that you support interviewee in continuing. Moreover, the expectant silence in the interviewer's most powerful encouragement to go deeper.

Before conclude the interview, double-check with the topic lists. While the recorder is still running, we can ask, ''Is there anything else you want to say, anything we forgot to cover? ''
